Privacy Policy
Valta stores your notes so every AI you connect can use them. We keep the rest to a minimum and protect what we keep.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign up, buy or are invited to a team. It identifies your account and is where we send links and receipts. We store it encrypted.
- Your password, stored only as a one-way hash. We can’t read it.
- Your notes and vaults: titles, bodies, tags, links between notes, vault profiles and earlier versions of each note. This is the service itself.
- Billing records: your plan, subscription status and payments. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
- A usage log of calls your AI apps make: the time, the tool, the vault, the app’s name and the result. It records the size of each request, never its text.
- Team data, for Team plans: members, roles, invitations and who can open each vault.
What we don’t do with your notes
- We don’t sell them or share them with advertisers.
- We don’t send them to any AI model. Valta runs no model; your notes only reach the AI apps you connect yourself.
- We don’t use them to train AI.
- People at Valta don’t read them, unless you ask us to for support or the law requires it.
Why we use your data
- To run the service: store, search and show your notes, and answer your connected AI apps.
- To bill your plan and send sign-in links and receipts.
- To show you and your team the usage and activity logs.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the service working.

AI apps you connect (such as Claude or ChatGPT) receive the notes they read on your behalf, under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
Notes and vaults are kept until you delete them or your account. Deleted notes are removed from the database right away; database backups kept by our host age out on their own schedule. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. The usage log is kept while your account exists.
Your rights
You can export your notes any time from the app, and delete notes, vaults or your account. You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing support@valta.si from your account address. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights; we honor them.
