One Vault Per Brand: Keeping AI Personas Apart

Valta · · 2 min read

To keep AI personas and brands from bleeding into each other, give each one its own vault: separate notes, a profile your AI reads before it writes, and, for the strictest separation, its own connector URL that can open only that vault. In Valta, Pro accounts can run up to five vaults this way.

If you write for more than one brand, a client or a persona, you have probably seen it happen. An idea from one account shows up in a draft for another. The voice drifts. Your AI mixes them because, from where it sits, it’s all one pile of context.

Separate vaults, separate graphs

In Valta every account starts with one vault, your default. Pro lets you add more, up to five, and each one is fully separate: its own notes, its own [[links]], its own graph. A search in one vault never returns notes from another.

A common setup:

  • Personal, the default, for everything that isn’t tied to a brand.
  • One vault per brand or persona, for its ideas, hooks, drafts and references.

A profile your AI reads first

Each vault has a profile, shown to your AI as _vault.md. Write down what the vault is for, who it speaks to, the voice, and what never to say. For example:

Juniper Lane: a faceless creator persona about building small digital products.
Audience: solo creators selling their first ebook or course.
Voice: plain, direct, a little dry. Short sentences. No hype words.
Never: income claims, "passive income", emojis.

Your AI reads this before it writes for that vault, so it writes for Juniper Lane like Juniper Lane.

When a note lands in the wrong place

You won’t always say which vault you mean. If you just say “save this”, the note goes to your default vault. Valta then compares it with your other vaults’ names and profiles. If it reads like it belongs to a brand, your AI gets a hint and asks whether to move it. In the web app, the default vault shows an inbox of notes that may belong elsewhere, with a one-click move.

Keeping a brand completely apart

For the strictest separation, use the vault’s own connector, like https://valta.si/mcp/juniper-lane. An AI connected with that URL can only open that one vault. Put it inside a Claude Project for the brand and nothing from your other vaults is within reach, even by accident.

Your notes stay yours

Every vault exports as a zip of Markdown files with [[links]] intact, ready to open in Obsidian. That works on every plan, Free included.

One vault for every AI you use.
